If you receive a notification from ServiceTasker saying a tasker or business has responded to your job, it means they’ve shown interest in helping with your request. However, this doesn’t always mean a fixed price has been provided straight away.
On ServiceTasker, a response can include:
- A price estimate for completing the job, or
- A message requesting more details before giving an accurate quote
Many tasks vary depending on scope, access, materials, or timing. For this reason, some taskers prefer to ask a few questions or arrange a site visit before confirming a final price.
Why isn’t a price showing yet?
You may not see a dollar amount immediately if:
- The tasker sent an expression of interest instead of a fixed quote
- They’ve asked for more information to better understand the job
- The details are included within the message thread rather than as a standalone price
What should I do next?
If you’re interested in working with the tasker or business:
- Open the message in your ServiceTasker inbox
- Read any questions or notes they’ve sent
- Reply with additional details about your job
Once they have enough information, they can provide a clearer and more accurate quote.
This process helps ensure you receive pricing that truly reflects your task, avoiding surprises later on.
