At ServiceTasker, we aim to keep our review system fair, transparent, and reliable. Reviews help customers make informed hiring decisions and allow businesses to build trust through genuine feedback. In some cases, a review may be flagged or removed if it does not meet our guidelines. If this happens, here’s what you can do.
Why might a review be flagged or removed?
A review on ServiceTasker may be flagged or removed for the following reasons:
Breach of review guidelines
- Use of offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language
- Personal attacks against individuals rather than feedback about the service
- Content that is irrelevant or not based on a genuine customer experience
Spam or promotional content
- Reviews containing advertising, excessive links, or promotional material
Conflict of interest
- Reviews written by someone with a personal or professional relationship to the business that hasn’t been disclosed
Fake or misleading reviews
- Reviews found to be fraudulent, exaggerated, or not linked to a real job or payment
- In serious cases, user accounts may receive warnings or further action
What to do if your review is flagged or removed
If you believe your review was flagged or removed unfairly, follow these steps:
1. Review the ServiceTasker Review Guidelines
Check that your review follows our guidelines. If it includes language or content that does not comply, this may be why it was removed.
2. Contact ServiceTasker Support
If you believe the removal was a mistake, contact the ServiceTasker support team and include:
- The business name or job related to the review
- A brief explanation of why you believe the review was removed unfairly
- Any supporting information that helps clarify your experience (such as messages or invoices)
3. Edit and improve your review if required
If your review was flagged for guideline issues, you may be asked to edit it. Make sure your feedback is respectful, relevant, and based on your real experience with the business.
4. Wait for the outcome
Once Support reviews your request, you’ll be notified of the result. Depending on the situation, your review may be reinstated or further changes may be required.
What happens after a review is reviewed?
- Review reinstated: If the review meets ServiceTasker guidelines after investigation, it may be republished
- Review modification requested: You may be asked to update the content before it can be approved
- Final decision: If the review does not meet the guidelines, ServiceTasker will provide a final decision explaining why it cannot be published
How to avoid having your review flagged or removed
To help ensure your review stays visible:
- Keep your feedback relevant to the service and job
- Remain respectful and professional, even if your experience was negative
- Avoid exaggeration, offensive language, or personal attacks
- Share an honest and genuine account of your experience
- Familiarise yourself with the ServiceTasker Review Guidelines before submitting
