If you’ve posted a job on ServiceTasker and want to remove it, it’s helpful to know that jobs can’t be permanently deleted from your account. Instead, ServiceTasker allows you to close or cancel a job so it’s no longer active or visible to taskers.
Why Can’t I Delete My Job Completely?
ServiceTasker keeps a record of all jobs you’ve posted, active, completed, or closed, so you can easily track your history and manage past requests. This means jobs stay in your dashboard for reference, even after they’re no longer active.
While you can’t delete a job entirely, closing it ensures that it’s removed from active listings and won’t receive any new quotes.
What Happens When I Close a Job?
Once a job is closed or cancelled:
- It is no longer visible to taskers
- No new quotes or messages can be submitted
- It remains in your My Tasks section for your records
This helps you keep a clear history of previous jobs without affecting your ability to post new ones.
Need the Job Removed from Active Listings?
If you no longer need the service or posted the job by mistake, simply close the job from your account. If you need the service again later, you can post a fresh job request at any time.
