2. The Plumbing Rough-In

The plumbing rough-in is the foundation of your home’s water system. It involves running all the pipes through the wall frames and under the floors before any plastering or walling is done.

• Installation of all water supply lines

• Drainage and waste pipe setup

• Pre-wall fixture placements

• Ensuring compliance with the NCC and all local standards

3. Stormwater and Drainage Systems

A proper drainage system will protect your new home from flooding, long-term damage, and costly issues like blocked drains. All Melbourne homes require an effective stormwater system due to the region's unpredictable rainfall patterns.

• Downpipe and gutter connections

• Stormwater detention tank installation

• Underground piping and drainage

• Ensuring compliance with all Melbourne Water stormwater regulations

• Instantaneous (tankless) water heaters

• Solar hot water systems

• Modern heat pump systems

5. The Final Fit-Out Stage

Once the walls are up and the tiling is complete, your plumber will install and connect all your new fixtures and fittings.

• Tapware, basins, and toilets

• Dishwashers and washing machines

• Showers and bathtubs

• Any outdoor plumbing for gardens or pools

6. Plumbing Compliance and Final Certification

Before the handover, your new home's plumbing system must pass all the necessary inspections. ServiceTasker can ensure you're connected with plumbers who can:
