Job Description: Laundry Benchtop & Sink Installation Looking for a qualified carpenter or experienced handyman to replace a laundry benchtop and install a new sink and support panel. Care must be taken to not damage the existing splashback tiles. Scope of Work: - Removal: Carefully score silicone and remove/dispose of the existing dark benchtop (170cm x 63cm) and stainless sink without damaging the wall tiles or existing cabinets. - Benchtop Customisation & Fitting: Install a new, full-length Ikea SÄLJAN laminate benchtop (supplied: 246cm L x 63.5cm W x 3.8cm thick) over the existing 170cm cabinets. The 170cm section must slide cleanly under the existing tiles. The installer will need to notch/trim the back edge of the remaining 76cm overhang section so it sits completely square and flush against the tile face/wall. - Support Panel Structure: Install the supplied vertical side panel at the exact end of the 246cm benchtop. Fix it securely to the wall/floor (using adhesive/glue for the floor tiles) and connect it to the underside of the benchtop using heavy-duty internal brackets to safely support a dryer sitting on top. - Sink & Tap Installation: Cut the opening for a new Ikea HAVSEN inset single-bowl sink and tap. Physically install and secure the new tap and sink into position. All raw laminate cut edges must be thoroughly sealed/waterproofed. - Plumbing & Access: Use a hole saw to create a clean drain hose access point in the cabinet side panel. Reconnect sink plumbing, tap, and washing machine drainage undersink. - Finishing: Apply neat, professional white silicone sealant along the entire tile splashback, the step-out transition, and all edges. Materials Provided by Owner: - Ikea SÄLJAN Benchtop (246cm x 3.8cm) - Ikea HAVSEN Inset Sink & Tap - Side support panel / end plate Requirements: Fixed price quotes only (please provide a basic breakdown of the price to ensure you have included all requested works). Trade to supply all tools, heavy-duty structural L-brackets, glues/adhesives, screws, white silicone, and plumbing consumables.
