Roots from our neighbours tree are causing significant damage to our yard, and they are also creating a trip hazard for children and elderly people. Our property is located at 26 dandaraga rd brightwaters. The neighbours trees are located on 24 dandaraga road in their yard and is close to our fence line. We understand that removing the roots, may kill the tree, which could lead to even bigger damage if it falls and injures someone. Additionally, the roots of this tree are connected to the roots of the gum tree on my property and removal could also affect the health of that tree. We are needing a report / Recommendation outlining the hazards the roots are causing. We would need to show the council or perhaps even take the matter to court and gain approval to remove the hazard. We don’t want to be liable for any accidents caused by this hazard – we want to protect ourselves. Our neighbours don't seem to be interested in having the trees removed. Also, if we need to remove the gum tree on the backyard of our property, it’s because the removal of the neighbour's tree / roots might kill the gum tree's roots, causing it to fall and potentially harm someone. We would like am assessment of the risk of non removal to property and person
