I am seeking advice on how to resolve the issues we are experiencing with the installation of our fireplace. The person we hired to install the fireplace has been unhelpful. He started the job in June, initially estimating that it would take a few weeks to complete. However, it is now almost October and the job is still not finished. He has been making excuses and displaying laziness throughout the process. He assured us that he would frame the fireplace correctly despite the uneven outside floor. In the plaster is falling off if touched, and the gap on the flood be side he didn’t measure it correctly Additionally, we provided him with the correct dimensions for the TV unit, but he made a significant mistake by installing a 3.5-cm depth instead of the required 35 cm. Furthermore, he installed wood under the TV unit in an attempt to prevent overheating, but after only 30 minutes of using the fireplace, the TV and speakers became excessively hot. When we expressed our concerns regarding the slow progress and the failure to meet our requirements, he promised to come back last Thursday but did not show up. At this point, my husband and I are considering giving up on the current contractor and finding someone else to redo the job, despite having already paid a significant portion of the cost. The back of the fireplace already has bubbles due to the poor installation, and there is a crack under the wood caused by excessive drilling. We would appreciate any advice on how to address these issues. We found him on google searched best fireplace installer in Perth and saw so many 5 star reviews but it could be a fake as it doesn't look proper website ? NOW WE NEED TO FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN RE DO THIS JOB MAY BE CAN USE FRAMES STILL BUT DEFNITLEY NEED TO MAKE NEW LOOK
