We’re looking for a qualified painter to complete some external paint touch-ups at our property in Alexandria.
The building was painted just a few months ago, so this is only for a few repaired areas that need to be blended in. It doesn’t need to be 100% patched — just a neat job that matches reasonably well with the existing paint.

Scope of work:

Plasterer / Gyprock Repair – Wall & Ceiling Hole Patching (Pre-Paint Finish) We are looking for an experienced plasterer to assist with repairing multiple wall and ceiling holes resulting from: • New downlight installations • Electrical wiring • Ducted air conditioning works The goal is to achieve a flush finish ready for painting, with no visible patching. Tasks include: • Patching gyprock/plasterboard (various hole sizes) • Taping and setting joints • Sanding to a smooth, paint-ready finish • Ensuring all repaired areas blend seamlessly with existing surfaces Timing & Availability: • Friday, 24th April • Other tradies (ducted air + electrician) will be onsite from Wednesday to the weekend, progressively completing areas • We are looking for someone who can work in parallel, starting on sections as soon as they are completed by other trades Requirements: • Proven experience with plaster/gyprock repairs / registered tradie + valid ABN - licence • High-quality finish suitable for painting (attention to detail is critical) • Ability to coordinate work around other trades onsite Pricing: • Please provide a daily / hourly rate • Include standard working hours (start/finish times)
We’re looking for a licensed plumber with experience in residential water system flushing and hygiene to service a townhouse we just bought in Alexandria that has not been used for an extended period.
Scope of Work:
- Flush all water pipes and outlets throughout the house (kitchen, 2 bathrooms, laundry, outdoor taps)
- Perform a high-temperature flush to remove any buildup and ensure water is clean and safe
- Inspect the system for stagnation or contamination risks

Subject: Request for Quote – Electrical Works (Alexandria)
We are seeking a quote from a licensed electrician for electrical works at a property we have recently purchased with settlement scheduled for 21 April. We would appreciate a quote, highlighting labour costs per hour and assumed time + material costs, where stated. Add. work might come up in future for which we might consider you, as well.
We will supply most materials (e.g. light fittings, switch plates), except for the switchboard and standard electrical components (e.g. cabling, protection devices).
Scope of Works
1. Switchboard Upgrade (Priority – 22 April - must be completed on that day to allow other trades to proceed)
- Replace existing switchboard with new 18-pole load centre
- Install isolation switch
- Install RCBOs (individual safety switch circuit breakers)
- Remove redundant circuits (e.g. old air conditioning)
- Note: new ducted air conditioning (including electrical supply) will be installed by others
- Test and commission
2. Lighting Installation & Replacement (Post 22 April, before long weekend)
- Install approx. 35–40 recessed LED downlights (simple ones with plug)
- Replace:
- 5 kitchen downlights (same positions)
- 3–4 downlights in top bedroom (under roof)
- Existing ceiling lights in 3 bathrooms/toilets (fittings supplied by us)
- Remove ~5 wall lights and ~5 ceiling lights
- Test and connect all lighting
3. Exhaust Fans (Bathrooms)
- Option A: Supply and install 2 x ceiling-mounted ducted exhaust fans (~100mm), incl. ducting check
- Option B: Install customer-supplied exhaust fans (like-for-like replacement)
4. Dimmers & Switches
- Install 6 dimmer switches:
- 3 bedrooms
- 2 living zones (separate control if possible)
- Dining
- Replace existing switch plates
5. Optional – Smoke Alarms
- Supply and install 3 x hardwired 240V photoelectric smoke alarms
- 10-year rechargeable battery backup
- Test and certify
6. Power Points
- Raise 4–6 double power points:
- ~2–4 in brick walls
- ~2 in plasterboard
- Replace any aged/damaged power points and switches
- Test and connect
7. Stairwell Lighting
- Install wiring and switching for 2 new recessed lights (ground to first floor)
- Two-way switching:
- One switch upstairs
- One switch in cupboard under stairs
- Light fittings: please specify supply vs install-only
8. Additional Works
- Disconnect 2 ceiling fans + one window fan (for removal by others)
- Disconnect / remove old alarm system, door bell with intercom
